| Artist Statement: “My silk scarves and shawls are hand-dyed with a variety of techniques from the ancient tradition of Shibori. My designs range from simple geometrics to complex layering of shapes, patterns with watercolor effects and organic designs reminiscent of forms from nature. Each piece is unique. My palette includes brilliant jewel tones, soft pastel and earth tones. I dye many of the scarves multiple times to achieve layers of color and texture. The scarves are washable and colorfast. Antrim Street Studio is powered by sun and wind.” |
