Aquidneck Island Arts Festival 2007

The most often heard comment: “It’s hard to believe this is a first year show!”

Art, food and entertainment drew over 5,000 people to the first annual Aquidneck Island Arts Festival held in Touro Park on August 25th and 26th, 2007. This juried art show offered an exciting marketplace of art, featuring over 50 East Coast artists. Categories included pottery, fine-art, jewelry, photography and glasswork.

Proceeds from the festival benefited Looking Upwards in its mission of supporting people with disabilities to live fulfilling lives. Our thanks to our sponsors and the many artists, entertainers and members of the community who made this show a success.

We’ve already outgrown our first location! Aquidneck Island Arts Festival 2008 will be held in one of scenic Newport’s premier waterfront sites, the Newport Yachting Center, on August 23rd and 24th.
